What is Angel Investor?

An angel investor is a rich individual who writes early checks — typically $10,000 to $250,000 — into startups too young for venture capital. They're often successful entrepreneurs themselves.

Angels invest their own money (unlike VCs, who invest other people's), so they can be faster, more flexible, and more personally invested in your success. Good angels bring mentorship and connections, not just cash.

They're called 'angels' because they show up early, when the idea is fragile and no one else believes. Choose them like co-pilots, because that's what they become.
